Our projects

We have successfully completed an impressive variety of construction projects. We've built up a significant amount of experience over the years with a dedicated and loyal team that is able to deliver projects reliably, on time and within budget.

HMS owl control tower Fearn aerodome (2013/14

Our first job at the tower was to repair the general fabric of the building, primarily the concrete structure where weather over time had corroded the steel reinforcing, causing it too expand and burst areas of the concrete, the steelwork preperation was completed by others, our job was to repair the concrete this was completed using FOSROC renderoc HB concrete repair system.

Once the scaffolding had been erected we completed the external concrete repair and the old railing bracket removal, followed by the external render of the top level, once the windows had been measured and delivered we remained on site with the Crittal window fitters to ensure every window fitted and ran smoothly.

Next we focused on areas where the painter required to be rebuilt or tidyed up, rebuilding a damaged section of brickwork on the side of the firemans pole, and forming an rounded upstand where the flat roofs meet the building to ensure a good seal and ease painting.

Internally we have also completed four slappings to open up the dark ground floor one of which was 4m long, then built an ensuite to the third floor master bedroom.

This project has challenged us from start to finish, with very labour intensive work in all aspects, it has and still remains a work in progress and we are proud to have been part of this historic buildings new lease of life.

New Patio areas for Ian & Denise/John & Sandra (summer 2013)

The criteria for this job was to remove the old sinking paving and excavate all the old bedding material and relay a new patio on hard compacted infill.

Once the sandstone had been agreed by all, we began laying, one of the key focuses was to ensure that where the patio met the top of the bank it gave the illusion of a drop beyond the patio so that nothing stood between the patio and the scenery we feel we have acheived this as can be seen by the photos below.

One of the great benefits of laying sandstone is the contrast between wet and dry, the patio always changes colour ensuring you will never tire of its appearance,

we thouroughly enjoyed working for the Millers on this project.
